The 7710 Rampage WiFi Backup Camera presents a practical solution for low-speed vehicle maneuvers, such as trailer hitching and parking. However, it is essential to note that this device is designed exclusively for temporary use at low speeds; it should be removed before any high-speed travel.

Operation

The camera utilizes high-strength magnets for easy attachment to vehicles or trailers, operating effectively on any magnetic surfaces. To view the camera feed, users can connect their viewing devices through the built-in WiFi hotspot. It allows for real-time adjustments to the camera angle, enhancing situational awareness while reversing.

Dust Ring

A rotating dust ring is included to shield the lens and port when the camera is not in operation, ensuring longevity and cleanliness of the device.

Charging

To charge the camera, ensure the power switch is in the off position and connect it to a power source using the provided USB cable. A red indicator light will illuminate during charging and will turn off once fully charged. The camera remains operational during charging, indicated by a flashing blue light alongside a steady red light.

Power On / Connecting to the App

To power on the device, slide the switch to the “ON” position. A solid blue light signals startup mode, while a slow blinking blue light indicates readiness for WiFi connection. For iOS users, it is crucial to connect to the camera's WiFi hotspot before launching the app. Detailed steps are provided below.

Connecting to WiFi on an iOS Device

1. Navigate to “Settings” and select the “WiFi” tab.
2. Look for a WiFi network named “fh8610cam-aca*******” and select it.
3. Enter the default password: “12345678” when prompted.
4. After connecting, exit “Settings” and open the RamCam app.

Display Functions

• Rotate: Utilize the rotate button to adjust the camera's view as needed.
• Recording Video: Initiate video recording using the red circle icon; recording will be saved to the connected device until toggled off. The icon will turn into a red square during recording. Videos are accessible in the app's file folder and can be played or transferred accordingly.
• Take a Picture: Capture images with the camera icon; these will also save in the app's file folder for later transfer to your iOS Camera Roll.
• LED Light: Activate or deactivate the LED using the light bulb icon.
• Settings Adjustment: Access picture quality settings and modify password preferences via the settings button.
• File Access: The files icon allows users to browse recorded files within the app and transfer them for other uses, such as email.

Auto Shut Down

The camera is equipped with an automatic shutdown feature that engages if battery voltage falls below a predetermined threshold, indicated by rapid flashing of the blue light. Users should switch off the device promptly in this event.
